Aquatic harvesting equipment operating on a Central Florida lake

Who We Are

About Lake and Pond Cleaning

A Central Florida company built on local knowledge, specialized equipment, and a genuine commitment to restoring the waterways our community depends on.

Our Story

Rooted in Central Florida

Lake and Pond Cleaning was founded right here in Central Florida — a region defined by its lakes, rivers, and waterways. We grew up on these waters, and we've watched firsthand as aquatic vegetation has increasingly taken over lakes and ponds that were once clear, open, and beautiful.

That local experience is what drives us. We know the specific weed species that thrive in Florida's warm climate — water hyacinth, hydrilla, torpedo grass, cattails — and we know how quickly they can overtake a waterway if left unchecked. We built this company to give property owners, HOAs, and municipalities a real, lasting solution.

Our approach is straightforward: use the right equipment, do the work properly, and leave your waterway genuinely better than we found it. No shortcuts, no chemical-first approaches that just push the problem down the road.

Equipment Highlights
  • Amphibious operation — Works in water and on land
  • Shallow water capable — Operates in as little as 12 inches
  • Cuts & collects — Removes vegetation from the water
  • Shoreline access — Reaches where boats can't

Our Equipment

The Mobitrac Aquatic Harvester

The centerpiece of our operation is the Mobitrac Aquatic Harvester — a purpose-built amphibious machine designed specifically for aquatic vegetation management. Unlike standard boats or barges, the Mobitrac can operate in very shallow water, navigate dense vegetation, and work right up to the shoreline where other equipment can't reach.

The Mobitrac cuts aquatic vegetation at or below the waterline and collects it on board, then transports it out of the water for proper disposal. This physical removal approach is critical — it takes the plant material and its stored nutrients out of the water entirely, rather than leaving it to decompose and fuel the next round of growth.

The result is a more thorough, longer-lasting clearance than cutting alone — and a more sustainable long-term approach to waterway management than repeated chemical treatments.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Honest Work

We tell you what we can do, do what we say, and don't oversell. If a different approach would serve you better, we'll tell you.

Physical Removal First

We believe in taking the problem out of the water — not just treating it in place. Mechanical removal reduces nutrient load and produces longer-lasting results.

Local Knowledge

We know Central Florida's waterways, its weed species, and its growing seasons. That local expertise shapes every job we take on.

Long-Term Thinking

A quick fix that doesn't last isn't a fix. We focus on approaches that keep your waterway cleaner for longer — and maintenance programs that stay ahead of regrowth.
